Description:

Southern Utah University is seeking a dependable and organized student employee to support the daily operations of the Workforce and Educational Opportunity department. This position assists with office support, scheduling, event logistics, basic data entry, and general administrative tasks while gaining hands-on experience in higher education operations, communication, and event coordination.

  • General Administration: Provide office assistance, email communication, data management, and record keeping. Support calendar coordination by arranging meetings, managing appointments, and confirming logistics.
  • Project Support: Support department projects by tracking tasks, updating progress notes, organizing materials, and helping staff follow up on deadlines.
  • Event Support: Help plan and execute events and meetings, including invitations, registration, room setup, and materials preparation.
  • Finance and Purchasing Support: Assist with routine purchasing and budget tracking tasks, including organizing receipts, preparing documentation, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Additional Duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma. Must be a current SUU student in good standing.
  • Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate.
  • Basic proficiency with Google Workspace, email, and common office software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in office support, customer service, event assistance, or clerical work is helpful but not required.
